Carbinoxamine maleate is a histamine-H1 blocking agent with effective anticholinergic properties. The primary side is a 15-20% sedation rate. This compound has a distinguished history as an oral antihistamine used in the treatment of both seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever).
